The Power Management System offers comprehensive control over the power supply of vehicle devices, ensuring they operate independently of the main switch. This system is designed to enhance efficiency by managing the power to all Thoreb units, ensuring they remain functional as necessary after the main switch is off. It provides a strategic solution to manage idle times and reduce unnecessary power consumption, leading to significant fuel and resource savings. Additionally, it ensures that all systems, from traffic and fleet management to passenger counting and video surveillance, are powered appropriately according to need.

Examples for Efficient Power Management:

• Automatic Passenger Counters: Continues operating post-main switch-off to accurately count embarking and disembarking passengers.

• Video Surveillance System: Activates upon alarm triggers like unauthorized access to ensure security.

• System Preparation: Periodically updates from the Media Cloud overnight for optimal operational readiness and trip information downloads.

• Bus Preparation: Automatically starts up the bus ahead of trips, preparing the environment efficiently, like adjusting temperature or activating ticket machines.

Technical information
MINIMAL REQUIREMENT

  • Supernode – device which handles the Power Management
  • K10 Node – works as Power Switch
  • Access to the Door signals of the vehicle

 

Note: The Supernode device needs only 0.5 mA when in alert mode with fully implemented ELSY and Power Management!
